COVID-19 VACCINE

You are no doubt aware that COVID-19 vaccines are now available, initially the 2-dose Pfizer and Moderna products and now the single dose Johnson & Johnson product. Most health care workers, including your providers here at Pinehurst Family Care Center, have received their two required doses of one of the initial vaccines. At this time, we don't anticipate providing vaccine in our office, but there are several available options for our patients. You may find local vaccine providers at www.myspot.nc.gov. These currently include Walgreens, CVS, and Wal-Mart, as well as Moore County Health department. Appointments are recommended but most do accept walk-in patients. Shots are free and now available to everyone over age 12, with parental consent required for those under 18 yrs old. Moore County Health Department is making appointments by calling (910) 947-SHOT (7468) or visiting www.moorecountync.gov/shot to register. Indicate any mobility issues you may have.  Additional information is available at www.YourSpotYourShot.nc.gov. We strongly recommend all persons to get whichever of the COVID vaccines that might be available to them -- they have all been proven to be highly effective at preventing serious COVID disease, hospitalizations, and deaths. Guidelines are continuously updated regarding safe activities for those that have been vaccinated. Monitor the CDC website for the latest information.
